Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is about how a business recognises its economic, social and environmental impact by giving back to the community in which it operates. Covering a broad range of issues including ethical business practice, employee development, community support and charitable donations it has rapidly risen up the corporate agenda. Benefits of operating responsibly include; employee motivation, retention, pride and satisfaction; improved relations with the community, your customers, regulators and shareholders and ultimately an impact on the bottom line.

At Orchid, we help clients develop robust and meaningful CSR strategies, facilitating the creation of long- term relationships through creative ideas and lateral thinking.  Working across both the professional services, consumer and not-for-profit sectors, Orchid often acts as the conduit between a corporate client and a not-for-profit client to 'matchmake' the two in order to co-ordinate and develop CSR activity that will benefit both organisations.

In 2006, Orchid was proud to play a key role in Longueville Manor’s adoption of Year Two pupils at St Saviour’s School. This long term initiative, which highlighted the immense benefits of business and education working together, was documented as an eight part television series and awarded both the PR campaign and Marketing Achievement of the Year awards at the prestigious CIM Jersey Awards for Excellence.
